Crisis Core is available both as a standalone game and also bundled with a Limited Edition PSP. Unlike the other game in the FFVII Compilation (Dirge of Cerberus), Crisis Core has been getting favourable reviews from both critics and fans. Famitsu magazine gave the game a score of 35 (9, 9, 8, 9) out of 40. They are usually pretty strict with their ratings, so that's a pretty good score.
Crisis Core is set before the main story of FFVII and stars Zack. Other FFVII characters will of course be in it as well.
Crisis Core does not have an official release date for the States or Europe at the moment.
